What an ADORABLE Sailor Style Butin-Buni (Button Bunny) !!! Just in time for Easter decorating too. (Be sure to view lots more pictures in the slideshow below). It's my new lop-eared bunny design with my unique whimsical twist of swivel/string-jointed button ears! My inspiration was Eeyore's Tail from Winnie the Pooh...however, the ears cannot be removed.

Like all my pieces, they are wonderfully distressed to look like they came out of an old trunk in the attic but they are newly made by me and are all my original designs. All my work, including clothing & accessories, is for the Adult collector and is not intended for children.

Her mohair is a hand dyed old cream color and then aged. She has a more rabbit shaped head with a slightly pointy darkened snout and a chubby cheek that I even color blushed too! Her ears are skinny and very long about 6". They are lined with vintage pink cotton and then I aged them. The unusual characteristic of this lop-eared bunny is that I string-jointed the ears to her head with vintage bone buttons, so that they may swivel about, instead of stitching the ears in a stationary position! Her nose is sparse stitched with black thread and then my color wax technique. Her paw pads are the same vintage pink cotton and then heavily aged. Her eyes are black german glass.

She is wearing a sweet little sailor style top & hat I made from vintage textiles & trims. Then I heavily aged it. The outfit is made from a fabulous old blue color lightweight wooly-flannel type material. Her little hat is pinned to her head and is removable too. I added lots of little details to her outfit, such as double cream cotton trim around the sleeves, cream cotton trim around the hat brim, a vintage button in the front and a piece of old pink ribbon. I also made one of my signature charms for her. It's made from a vintage poker chip and old "Pinkie The Sailor" graphics which dangles from a piece of rusted chain!

She is so old & frumpy just the way we like it! She is loosely stuffed with wood wool, steel shot and gravel granulars and sand, for weight and texture. She is loosely 5-way hardware jointed with locknuts & discs. She will come with my signed hang tag, so you know you are getting an original Whimsical Whendi�s Bear and not am imitation. She is not able to stand alone without help. This is for the bunny only.
