I hope your holidays are off to a fabulous beginning. This beautiful door greet, wall hanging is sure to add a bright touch and welcome the yuletide in prim perfect style. I just love the colors and sparkle and the vintage touches.
The snowgirls head is made of heavy weight cotton muslin that I have tightly stuffed, painted, sanded and painted again. She has hand stitched applied eyelids and little round nose. Her facial features have been carefully hand painted to give her a sweet expression. I coated her head in real German glass glitter to give her lots of eye catching sparkle.
The snowgirl has been securely attatched to a larege wire and beaded snowflake that I have painted and added a fine tarnished silver embossing powder to give the piece even more vintage sparkle and shimmer. Her hat and ruffled collar are made of a vintage robins egg blue satin fabric. I have embellished her pretty top hat with lots of fabulous details.
A row of large creamy faux pearls band the hat. I have a vintage image greeting card that I have edged with silver glass shards. Some silk snow drop flowers and greenery that I have touched with more silver embossing powder.
This piece measures a full 15 inches across and tall. It is large enough to make a statement and really capture attention. She will be sure to happily watch over you all season long and become a favorite piece for many years to come.
