Please let me introduce you to *Melty and his Poem* another creation of my Melty series, he is a OOAK original doll designed and created by me TheCracklingCrows
Melty is sewn out of painted and distressed muslin to give him a yester year look we all like so much. His winter coat is made out of 100% wool and for his pants I used a mustard corduroy fabric. Melty’s shirt is made out of osnaburg and for his scarf and mittens I used red duck fabric. Hat and shoes are made out of painted osnaburg. I attached holly leaves with 3 tiny rusty jingle bells to his hat. “My Poem” book is all handmade and it reads: Papa’s hat, Mama’s scarf, a carrot for a nose I found two stix just right for arms old galoshes for his toes. I patted and I shaped him with my little mittened hands until I made the perfect friend, my very own Snowman. Johnny
His eyes are drawn on with Artist pencils and he has separate stitched on eye lids. Black embroidery floss was used to stitch his mouth on. Melty’s arms are wired so you can pose his arms however you like it. He can really nicely hold his little book.

*Wynter Thyme* Melty is a wonderful seasonal fellow… I just love the way he came out. He is made out of painted and distressed muslin and measures approx. 20”. I mounted him securely to an old beehive wooden spool.
His facial features are drawn on with Artist pencils and he has separate stitched on eyelids. Melty’s black stove pipe hat is made out of black painted osnaburg…embellished with vintage silver looking tinsel, a piece of ticking fabric and holly leaves with three tiny rusty jingle bells on it. I sewed a row of rusty jingle bells to his belly. His little bag is made out of black ticking fabric…wonderful material. I attached a piece of muslin with the word “SNOWBALLS” on it. He comes with a few snowballs and some Sweet Annie. Snowball is not sewn to his arm but you can squeeze one in his arm. He comes with a flag…mounted to a rusty wire and wrapped around his wrist. It says “Wynter Thyme” on it. A wool scarf in a nice green shade keeps him warm. This wonderful piece was made with help of a design by Back*Porch*Pickens…and as always I added my own personal touch to it. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MORE PICTURES OF HIM
