Celebrating Halloween with Art by Iva Wilcox
Waving his bat wand, Mr. Jack O. Lantern is just so happy! He has a large toothy grin and just loves the fact that he has been liberated from his pumpkin patch. With arms and legs of bark wire and hands and feet of silk leaves, he can tell that Halloween is right around the corner!
I sculpted his head of paperclay and created his body from muslin that I've painted. You can position his wire arms and legs how you like. He has a collar of silk leaves and vintage crepe paper fringed in glitter. His belt is vintage seam binding with a bit of orange dresden for a buckle. His wand is topped by a vintage dresden bat ornament. I've added natural moss here and there to give him a look of just springing to life from the pumpkin patch.
He sits on an old candlestick that I've distressed and aged. He is a big boy, measuring 17" tall by 9" wide. Comes signed and dated. An Iva's Creations original. For questions or to purchase, please email me iva@ivascreations.com.

A little pumpkin pixie is on his way to the big Halloween celebration. He's getting a ride from his sweet friend Ms. Katherine the Cat. The pixie is made of cotton batting and chenille. He wears a little acorn cap on his head trimmed in dresden. His "hair" is made of silk leaves, and his little wings are sprinkled with iridescent glitter. I've hand drawn his face and have protected it with finishing spray. He is one happy pixie!
Ms. Katherine is made of paper mache and painted. She is firmly attached to the lid of an oval paper mache box. I've covered the top with moss and added two vintage mushrooms.
