Hi all! Here's hoping that spring has sprung in your neck of the woods! It seems to be well underway here. Here's what I've been working on while I listen to the birds chirp and watch the flowers grow.

WINONA THE WISHING FAIRY - PAINTING

Winona was created on an 8 x 10 x 1 3/8" gallery wrapped canvas with staple-free sides. The sides are painted a dark brown. No need for a frame. I used acrylic paints, watercolor pencils, decorative papers, and just a touch of magic to create this piece. All is sprayed with a gloss finish to protect and enhance colors. I've signed it di on the front and signed, titled, and dated the back. This a a one-of-a-kind mixed media painting.

I had so much fun turning Winona into a little doll. She is 100% hand sewn by me. I've painted her with acrylics and sanded her until she is nice and soft. Her wings are a sturdy paper sandwiched between two pieces of decorative paper. They are glued and sewn into place and I've added a button and a loop of hemp so that you can hang her. She's got a sweet little bow on her head. So grad her tight and make a wish!
