is a fun and folky Threadbare Santa.
This sweet Santa is made from muslin,
which has been stained and sanded
to give him that time worn well loved appearance.
He is 18 inches long from the top of his hat
to the bottom of his wooden spool.
Santa is attired in a cozy wool jacket and red striped ticking shirt.
His facial features have been painted with hand drawn details;
his beard is needle felted sheep’s wool.
He is holding in his hands a rusty metal garland adorned with two stars.
The wooden spool was hand turned by my talented and ever helpful husband.
All in all this sweet Santa would make a great addition to any folk art collection.
He will arrive signed and dated with his own primitive tag.
