TALL JOLLY SANTA
A Boy Howdie Folk Art 100% original piece. This jolly Santa is about 18” tall. His body and base are made of wood. His boots and face are sculpted of paper clay. His coat is made of woolly looking fabrics that I have tea stained to give them a vintage look. His base is 4 ½” x 5 ½” and covered with vintage style mica. His coat is tied with a brown leather belt, his mittens are made of a dark olive green wool. His beard, hair and mustache are made of wool. He is holding a brush tree, vintage glass ornaments along with several handmade toys including a jack in the box, a monkey doll, and a sheep. He is hand sculpted of paper clay, sanded, sealed, painted, antiqued, waxed, and signed. My work has been featured in Country Marketplace Magazine, Violet Magazine and this seasons Celebrate365.
