I’ve turned two of my designs into folk art plates and platters. These one of a kind hand made, stoneware plates are microwave, oven and dishwasher safe. They are heavy enough for every day use or display these folksy plates with other primitive items for a beautiful arrangement. The plate measures 12” diameter and the platter 15” diameter.

Red House Primitive Floorcloth

This handmade 2’ x 3’ floorcloth will add charm to your home or cottage. In colors of red, sage, mustard and noir, the water proof mat is versatile and stain resistant – great for any door way or in front of the kitchen sink. Or pair it with my hand made plate for a beautiful ensemble. Floorcloths have been around for a very long time. Originating in Europe, they were imported to the colonies around the mid 18th century. As sails wore and tore, women cut the used canvas sail cloth to room size rugs and painted designs on the canvas to decorate their homes. Today, the use of industrial canvas, water based paints, and water based poly-acrylic promotes a durable mat that lasts and lasts. Floorcloths are water and stain proof. They are perfect for your kitchen or doorway and keeping them clean is as simple as wiping with a damp cloth.
